The Happy Puppy School!
The Happy Puppy School is A Bark Idea's training program that prioritizes healthy socialization and positive reinforcement training for pups under the age of 1. Your puppy will be integrated into our daycare group full of other puppies and polite adult dogs of all sizes and ages that we have known since puppyhood or have passed temperament tests with us., Puppies are able to learn crucial play manners from polite, older pups that owners and other puppies cannot teach.

In addition to various forms of socialization, your puppy will receive one-on-one training with our certified CPDT trainers and group training with other puppies also in training with us. Keep reading to find out what exactly we work on while your puppy is with us!

You will be provided with the tools to continue practicing the same exact way at home with your puppy! This includes video and written instruction on what we have been working on, how to maintain the same practice/exercises, and apply it to real life scenarios!

YOU spend the most time with your pup which is why we work with your puppy to establish skills but prioritize helping owners understand and strengthen your training relationship with your puppies! Owner maintenance is crucial with training at any age, but especially during puppyhood.
What exactly will my puppy be learning?
Your puppy will be learning all sorts of things!

With the help of our polite adult daycare dogs and recent Happy Puppy School grads, they will be learning important social and play skills.
​
From our entire team they will be learning how to self soothe/regulate, take breaks, and offer polite behaviors instead of jumping and barking.
​
From our CPDT certified positive reinforcement trainers they will be learning a variety of cues and behaviors, including but not limited to potty and crate training, cues (sit, down, place, stay, recall, leave it, drop it, touch), intro to leash manners, and more!
What are the requirements to join???
First, you will submit an online inquiry form on our Get In Touch page.
Then we will send you a complete, detailed rundown of our program and options for you to choose from that best fit your needs!

From there, we require completed new client paperwork and documentation from the vet of the following:
-Up to date vaccines: at minimum 2 DHPP & Bordetella. (When old enough, complete DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and Canine Influenza)
-Proof of a negative fecal test for Giardia from within 1 month
- confirmation that your puppy is on flea prevention
